Anode Rod Replacement – Pasadena

Alpha Plumbing replaced a corroded anode rod for a residential water heater in Pasadena. Check out the comparison between the old and new rods — you can see the old rod was just about to break! The anode rod is a sacrificial part that attracts corrosive elements so that the rod will rust and corrode instead of the tank. As this home was on a well, Alpha Plumbing provided a “smelly” anode rod to help prevent the bad odor that can be caused by chemical reactions with well water.
