Alpha Plumbing replaced the water service for a customer in Gambrills with PEX-A tubing. The customer requested PEX-A tubing because the service enters the home through a crawl space and PEX-A has better freeze properties than HDPE. PEX-A can expand to up to four times its size when it freezes and then return to its initial size. In the pictures you can see the finished work, the connections at both the meter and inside the home and the trench the pipe is laid in.
