4 Common Bathroom Plumbing Issues

4 Common Bathroom Plumbing Issues

Your bathroom is one of the most commonly used rooms in your home. All of that use can take a toll on your bathroom plumbing.

Your bathroom is one of the most commonly used rooms in your home. Everyone who lives in your home uses it multiple times a day, and so do all of your visitors and guests. All of that use can take a toll on your bathroom plumbing. Plumbing issues are incredibly common in the bathroom. They can be minor issues that are easily taken care of or major issues that require a professional plumber’s attention. Continue reading to learn more about four plumbing issues commonly found in bathrooms.

Clogged Drain

A clogged drain is a fixture that won’t drain at all or drains so slowly that it might as well not be draining. Clogs need to be handled as soon as you notice them. Depending on the size and location of the clog, you may be able to handle it yourself, or you may need a plumber to help you.

Dripping Faucet

Dripping Faucets are both annoying and expensive. The constant drip sound is also a constant reminder of the money and water you’re wasting. You could try replacing the washer to fix the issue, but it may be better to have a professional handle it.

Slow Drains

This problem could potentially affect any drain you have but is most common with tubs or showers. When hair and other debris get caught in the drain, they can slow the rate at which the water goes down. This is usually a sign that you’re developing a clog. Clean out your drains regularly to keep them working well.

Low Water Pressure

There are many reasons why your bathroom is experiencing low water pressure, and some of them are easier to correct than others. The water in your home may not have the amount of pressure it should because there is an issue with your municipal supply. In that case, you should call your city or county. However, it could also be as simple as there being a lot of build-up on faucet aerators, especially if only one fixture seems to have the problem.
